The Haugh is a traditional 2-3 bedroom cottage situated near the top of Glenesk, the most northerly of the world famous Angus Glens. It enjoys a highly secluded position close to the River North Esk, within the Cairngorms National Park. The cottage itself has three double bedrooms and a sitting/dining room - sleeping up to 6 adults. Wireless broadband is available throughout the house. The gardens extend to 1.5 acres and are comprised of an enclosed lawn area, the ruins of former cottages and some woodland. There is also a dog kennel and run for two dogs. Although remote, Glenesk has much to offer in the way of outdoor pursuits. Mount Keen, the most easterly Munro, is walkable from the cottage, as are many other lesser peaks. Glenesk is also very well known for the quality of its fishing, shooting and canoeing. We have recently taken on the Haugh as a family holiday home. We would be delighted to welcome you to our home and hope that you become as enamoured with it as we are. We hope to develop this website in the coming months and would appreciate any feedback. In the meantime please feel free to call to discuss any aspect of your proposed stay. |
